- Quick Start Guide

G-Tech has built a protective aluminium core into their mobile SSD. This helps prevent overheating and maintains high performance, while a custom enclosure insulates the drive when in use. Allowing for the drive to reach the speeds needed, while keeping cool.
Transferring a large file using Windows 10 gave me a nice 545 MB/s read and 505 MB/s write. Using our Mac machine, I saw a decrease with speeds at 470 MB/s read and 445 MB/s write. Though this is around 60 MB/s decrease which isn’t a big pain. This means that it should appeal to both Windows and Mac users

The R Series mobile SSD is a very attractive product. With a slick rubber shell, and secure internals. This is a drive that is built to last. Finally check out our other Digital Home reviews.
