I like the design of this cover as it is available in various colours. Also it has a clear back so you can see the back of the iPad. There is a metal Moshi badge on the rear that grips the covers magnetically when it is opened. So it is secure and doesn’t flap around a nice feature.
The case is accurately made and the cut-outs for switches ports and camera are all aligned accurately. The power button is covered by the case but the shell is thinned so it can be pressed easily. But, it can’t be turned on by mistake. A very thoughtful design. An important point for me is that the case is not too bulky. So when its closed, it fits in my charging stand and charges.
The cover has a grain finish that is smooth and light, is well-fitting and activates the magnet on/off the sensor as well as a magnetic closure.
The cover has preformed origami type folds that allow it to form several various stand options allowing for portrait or landscape viewing – ingenious.
Overall, whilst there are plenty of cheaper alternatives the Moshi iPad VersaCover has a deserved reputation for quality and it is very evident here. I have friends that have been through multiple covers that have failed or disappointed and I am still on my original and very happy.
