Gioteck WX-4 Wireless Controller Review

The WX4 features a button layout similar to the Xbox controller. The face buttons have a satisfying click to them. While the D-pad feels very stiff and not smooth at all. Overall, it feels rather light, with a glossy finish to it. There is a Micro-USB port, which means you are gonna get a slow charge speed.

I was impressed by how smooth the gameplay is when using the WX4. The pairing was quick and easy, and even powers up the console by holding down the home button. Motion controls also work, Breath of the wild aiming was smooth and I didn’t have any issues. The problem I had was with the triggers. They were incredibly stiff and positioned oddly so I have to change how I would normally hold a controller. The battery is around 15 to 20 hours, based on how you play.

The biggest selling point is the price. For under £20 you are getting a very close copy to the Pro Controller. Even though the build quality isn’t as good, it’s still a solid controller.

Overall, the Gioteck WX-4 Wireless Controller does everything it sets out to do. Even though the design may not be as good, the performance is great.
