Christmas Gift Guide 2019 – Tech Accessories

Prizm II Projector from Anker
It is well worth the cost. Decent sound (great even outside and no crazy loud fan noise), and keystone adjustments. Like any low lumen projector use this with the shades closed and enjoy an amazing image.
New BittBoy from Retromimi
After using it for a couple of weeks, I will say that overall I am disappointed. It’s a cheap feeling device running emulators some of which don’t work out that well. I have seen the Retroflag Gameboy case, which packs a Raspberry Pi into a GameBoy style case. This will be my next attempt at handheld emulation.
IOGEAR USB-C Docking Station
It runs with Windows10 and supports dual-monitor set ups but wasn’t the best at handling my Surface. I can’t personally vouch for the ease of use with an iPad but having seen other online reviews that using an external monitor with an iPad is a good set up. Overall, this is a really nicely designed and actually useful bit of tech.
Anker Nebula Capsule Max Projector
If you find yourself in the need for an Android project, I think there are better cheaper options. Though the Anker Nebula Capsule Max Projector is an all-in-one solution with specs that can’t be sniffed at. But the new Cosmos Max is a 1080p projector for around the same price point.
VissonTech X88 PRO Android TV
Overall the X88 PRO is a cheap 4K Android box. For $30 you can stream 4K Netflix to your TV and get an almost vanilla Android 9.
