The GameSir X2 Type-C Mobile Gaming Controller is determined to become the most trusted partner of players in the game, so we have worked hard on quality and improving the users using experience. For example, the microswitch buttons with a service life of 3 million times, and the soft rubber grip that can provide a comfortable hand-held feeling. These are the designs of GameSir X2 to provide gamers with excellent gaming experience.

As an owner of various consoles, mobile gaming has never appealed to me. I hate the thought of having to grab a controller, sync via Bluetooth and clip my phone to it. But GameSir X2 does away with all that, you slide it over your phone and instantly you have control.
The face of the X2 is very reminiscent of the Switch. Even the neon blue and orange under the thumbsticks reminds me of the JoyCons. Each side has a thumbstick and 4 buttons. The right has A, B, X and Y, while the left has directional buttons. I was a little disappointed to see there was no D-pad here.
Best Mobile Controller 2020 – GameSir X2 Type-C Mobile Gaming Controller Review
This is incredibly comfortable. After fitting it over my S20 Ultra, my fingers naturally fall over the R2 and L2 triggers. I have large hands, but I found this to be a great fit for me. The back has a curved rubber back, which feel great to rest your fingers on.
The whole unit is made from a white ABS plastic, making it sturdy and easy to just chuck in your bag. The middle features a USB-C port and a black rubber interior. You can pull it open, with a spring mechanism. You then slide your device onto the USB-C port which can point upwards. I go this first time, but cases and phone holders will have to be removed. It will fully extend to accommodate phones of up to 16.7cm. The rubber grips allow some space behind your device, which is key for airflow.
There isn’t any battery to charge, the USB-C port allows it to be powered by your device. There is also no Bluetooth! Which allows for lower latency and snappier feedback. This is only compatible with USB-C phones, so older devices and iPhone users will have to check elsewhere.
I tested with a variety of games and the X2 worked on everything I threw at it. Fortnite played perfectly and I was able to move around and shoot without any problems. Emulators such as Drastic, Dolphin and MD.emu all took control on. For a couple, I did have to map the controls, but this doesn’t take too long at all.
Overall, the GameSir X2 Type-C Mobile Gaming Controller is the best Mobile Controller I have used. The clamping mechanic is great and the connection is snappy and fast.
