I’ve tried cordless clippers a couple of times in the past and was let down by battery life and also crucially lack of power. This can result in tedious uneven cuts and can also be quite painful as when there’s not enough power, clippers can pinch and tug on hair rather than cleanly cutting. So I’ve tended to stick with more reliable corded clippers instead. Usually either Wahl or Babliss.
To my delight these are leagues ahead of anything cordless I’ve tried in the past. I’m still on the first factory charge after 2 full head sessions and a couple of beard trims.
In use they feel exactly like using a wired set in turns of power and cutting. Of course with the added bonus of being much more convenient and comfortable to use. They are lighter than a standard wired set, but still weighty enough not to feel too plastic and flimsy. They come in a decent zip up bag and loads of different grades etc.
If anything the only annoying thing is there are so many included attachments, that it can be a pain to find the one you want in the bag (I mean does anyone actually use the slanted left and right ear grades or the ‘1/2’ grade?
Overall, the Wahl Rapid Clip Cord Cordless Hair Clipper is a quality set of clippers.
