Skull & Co GripCase OLED for Nintendo SWITCH OLED
The Skull & Co GripCase OLED for Nintendo SWITCH OLED is a flexible case that covers the whole back of the Switch OLED, offering different size grips which can be swapped on the go.
The big thing is the look of the GripCase. It has a see-through body showing off the look of the joycons. Then you can grab white, or Neon grips. As my OLED model has white joycons, I decided to go with the white to match. The body is an anti-yellow TPU meaning that it won’t go that horrible off yellow colour after some use.
The GripCase is flexible and covers the entire Switch OLED. This adds overall protection to it, which some grips don’t offer. You can still access the game slot, but the kickstand and SD slot are now covered. You won’t be able to use the kickstand or sd card slot while the case is on. The buttons are now covered as well, so may need a slightly harder push to adjust volume and turn on.
One issue I had with the case was the triggers. They “float” so aren’t attached to the case in any way, this meant they kept falling out when I was trying to put my switch in the case.

I found I could play a game for a couple of hours more than I could before I had the grip. It feels very natural in your hand. The ability to pick and change grips is very useful when sharing the Switch, as my hands are bigger than my wife’s. This means we can attach smaller grips for her, and bigger ones for me. The fact you can get different colours is a bonus.
The GripCase came with a MaxCarry Case. The case had slots for 10 game cartridges, an external battery, and a netted area for cables. The battery area was great if you had a right-angle USB-C cable you could change your Switch from the case. The Switch was stored between two padded areas, which could be bent to make a stand. Overall the MaxCarry case was a great addition to the GripCase.
