As a direct descendant of the Susvara and HIFIMAN’s other planar magnetic headphones, the new HIFIMAN DEVA Headphones features the company’s nano-thick diaphragm that delivers the lightning-fast response, producing improved detail but ultra-low distortion as well. The frequency response is 20Hz-20kHz, sensitivity is 93.5dB, and impedance is 18 ohms.

HIFIMAN DEVA Headphones Review

The packaging is OK, it’s a conventional and functional box. They look nice than I thought they would. I wasn’t sure I’d like the colour, as I tend to be more in darker colours. But I am starting to get used to them and love how they went a different route with the colour.

On to the head and they are comfy, I’m not surprised as I’ve always found Hifiman’s headphones fit me perfectly. Even though it’s a new design, it fits nice and firm. The headband is padded but lacks the kind of flexibility of softer headbands. I was worried that adding the Bluemini would add weight to one side. But I found this wasn’t the case.

Once I paired the Bluemini to my phone, which was nice n easy to do btw, and started playing I was blown away. This is my first planar Bluetooth headphone and it sounds just like its got a wire. I’ve never heard anything so open and spacious over Bluetooth.

Every single Bluetooth headphone I’ve heard before, including some supposedly high-end ones all, sound so closed. They usually have a ton of boosted bass too, very heavy and thick. These are like nothing I’ve heard from wireless stuff before. They are revelatory, the air and space they give, it’s like everything sounds live and in front of you.

Also, you have no wires so you are free to move, it’s a weirdly liberating experience. Being able to listen and dance about your kitchen and have everything sound so clean and clear. The audio is just so bright, I never expected to get such transparency from a Bluetooth headphone.

The bass quantity was controlled and detailed everything felt. The mids and treble are both really good. The level of control and refinement they emit is just amazing. This all comes from a little Bluetooth adapter.

Overall, the HIFIMAN DEVA Headphones look great and sound amazing. Also, they give you a wireless option. Thanks for reading! Have you got any questions? Drop them in the comments below, or connect with us on Facebook or Twitter. Finally, check out our other Audio reviews.
