The Edifier W820NB noise cancelling headphones are awesome! They are super lightweight and have really nice 40mm titanium diaphragm drivers to deliver really good crisp audio quality. It comes in very smart packaging and consists of headphones, the usual paperwork and a USB-C cable for charging.
The headphones are easily identifiable with which is your left and right and the buttons located on the right side are very minimalistic yet intuitive. A single Bluetooth button caters for all the noise-cancelling, device syncing, Ambient and Game Mode functions (Game Mode reduces latency so the audio sync to what you’re viewing is even more aligned so you don’t have any lag/delay in audio output, while Ambient mode intelligently filters out noises but keeps traffic and flight announcements in so you remain safe).

I’m still relatively new to noise cancellation technology as I’ve not been fortunate to be in a position to purchase/try one, this is the first and wow – what a revelation. I had my dishwasher on and decided to test the headphones with some songs on my phone. I could hear the humming from the dishwasher but as soon as I pressed the Bluetooth button on the headphones, it was gone! All I could hear was the crystal clear music which offered decent bass, mid and treble notes.
My second test with noise-cancelling is to continue listening to music via my phone but then play a video on the laptop loudly. And just like that, it filters out the laptop leaving me with just the song on my phone!
Incidentally, the next test happened shortly after when my mother phoned me while I was still connected to the headphones playing music. The music goes quiet and you hear a couple of beeps to subtlely alert you a call is coming. A single tap on the power button answers/ends the call and the audio quality is still so crystal clear. The microphone sensitivity seems to be spot on as I was deliberately speaking quietly and she heard me loud and clear.
Overall, I adore the Edifier W820NB Active Noise Cancelling Bluetooth Stereo Headphones. They’re really light, powerful and Edifier claim 49 hours of playback time! So very low maintenance, stylish over the ear noise cancelling headphones – this is now my go-to set. Highly recommended.
