Feather on Nintendo Switch is a peaceful game about immersing yourself in a beautiful island. Become a bird, fly around and lose yourself in zen-like flow whilst listening to the soothing ambient soundtrack. With responsive and fluid flight controls to swoop, glide, backflip and roll your way around the island.

No enemies, no combat, no threats, just peaceful flight by yourself or with other birds. Passive multiplayer allows you to join a flock and discover the world with others. Explore a vast open world and find new songs which can be found around the surroundings. Each element of the island responds to your presence with a hum, tone, and rhythm to connect you to the world.
Feather Nintendo Switch Trailer
Feather isn’t a game I have really played before. There are no baddies to kill, no checkpoints, no health bar. It’s simply an exploration game with a pretty killer flight mechanic. There is an option to use gyro controls, but I unmistakably favor the conventional analog controls. You can perform lots of moves like barrel rolls, flips, and even dip into the water. The dev guys really set out to make a game that makes you feel like you are flying.

The look of the game is very stylized with simple shapes and colors. But then used together creates an almost dream-like landscape to explore. There is a subtle piano soundtrack in the background. This can be changed by flying through gates dotted around the game. Each gate you fly through will change the song playing.

But that is it, it is just a flying game. I can play this for around 20 mins, then get very bored and not pick it up again for a while. But I will say that for relaxation this is great. It is almost like meditation playing this game. Finally, check out our other gaming reviews.
