The Adonit PhotoGrip Qi, allows you to unlock the full potential of your smartphone’s camera. Grip your phone like a camera. Shoot with the Bluetooth shutter remote. The wireless charger keeps your phone’s battery fully charged. Screens are bigger, phones are thinner, but holding on is harder. It’s time to take control. PhotoGrip QI makes it easier than ever to hold your phone out front to capture the shot. No struggling to tap the screen button, no accidental slips, and no fear of cracking your screen. PhotoGrip QI easily attaches to most smartphones for a custom fit.

In the box, you get the PhotoGrip Qi, a carry bag, USB-C cable and a tripod. The tripod was a great surprise, as you can use this with the remote shutter to frame some great shots. But there isn’t any way to adjust the angle of the tripod. But why, oh why, is there no wrist strap for the mount? I am holding my phone in the mount and I get drop it.
The design of the Photogrip Qi is simple, its ergonomic grip uses a spring-loaded mount for your phone. The grip itself is similar to those on a DSLR camera. It uses a rubberised coating to stop it from slipping out when in use. It’s just a finger grip, it’s not for the whole hand.

The mount has been designed to give a great grip to the phone, but also allow you to slide my phone in without any issues. I was able to use my S10+ with a case on, and my wife’s S9+ with no problems.

I love that they have added a Qi coil into the mount, this combined with a 3000mAh battery means you can you lots of fun before your phone dies. This is at a normal 5W rate, so don’t expect fast charging. There is a button along the top, which can be used to turn on/off the charging. I was happy to see you can charge the mount via USB-C allowing for a fast charge.
The shutter connects to your phone via Bluetooth and can be removed from the mount to be used as a remote shutter. I was able to use it from around 10m away, and the speed was almost instant. This uses a battery, so will die at some point. I would have liked to see it possibly charge when plugged back into the mount.

As I and my wife love to go for walks, this is a great accessory for us. The mount allows us to take better photos, without going through the phone’s battery. The remote shutter also means we can set up group shots and experiment with framing our photos. Even things like long exposures are made easy as you can use the 1/4-20 mount with any compatible tripod.
If you use your phone for a lot of photos, this is a must-have accessory. The mount is easy to use, and the grip allows you to easily hold your phone and take photos.
