Simply connect your X-Sense XS01-WT Wi-Fi Smoke Alarm Detector to Wi-Fi to remotely access and control your alarms through the app, allowing you to handle any emergency swiftly. Incompatible with 5.0 GHz networks. Measuring only 78 x 48 mm, this X-Sense smoke alarm is small but powerful and integrates perfectly into any home design.

Use the app to stay informed of your alarm conditions, including low battery warnings, or malfunctions. The included battery ensures a whole year of continuous protection for an alarm with a service life of 10 years.

An integrated screen effectively prevents insects from damaging the alarm, ensuring long-term accuracy, sensitivity, and reliability. This X-Sense alarm performs 3 separate smoke concentration analyses every 10 seconds to eliminate interference from wind, dust, and non-hazardous smoke.

X-Sense XS01-WT Wi-Fi Smoke Alarm Detector Review

In accordance with safety standards, this smoke alarm is equipped with a buzzer that emits an 85 dB alarm tone within 3 meters, ensuring you’re woken up in an emergency.

I like the compact size of the X-Sense XS01-WT Wi-Fi Smoke Alarm Detector and the price is great in comparison to Nest which is what I would have preferred but I need smoke alarms and I don’t have the wallet for Nest right now.

I had to use the 2.4Ghz signal from my router which was a drama because mine like most supports both 2.4 and 5. Once I had figured that out and a few failed connections, we finally got them all connected about an hour later.

I was excited to have WiFi functionality, being able to see the smoke alarm in real-time, give me some feedback on how the smoke alarm is going, and maybe give it a test instead of having to get the steps to press the button when one alarm goes off then that all go off. But no, none of those things is anything that it does, tbh I don’t know what the WiFi is for or if it’s ever going to work. I guess they are more like expensive stand-alone smoke alarms with a WiFi gimmick.

Overall, I wasn’t impressed with the X-Sense XS01-WT Wi-Fi Smoke Alarm Detector.
