On the Touryst on Nintendo Switch, you are just arriving at the Monument Islands. Want to go swimming? Rather dive into the deep sea? Do you want to visit the amusement arcade, do some shopping, dance at the beach party? Fancy some surfing? Or will you talk with the strange old tourist and listen to what he has to say about these ancient mysterious monuments…?

The Touryst Nintendo Switch Trailer
You play a Tom Selleck looking character, who arrives on Touryst Island. After a bit of swimming and climbing, you arrive at a TOWA Monument. This is where the game starts to get interesting. You are then free to roam the islands and try to solve the mystery. You travel to different islands and explore.

The different islands are all miniature versions of real places. Ybiza, Figy, Santoryn and Leysure Island are all included. They are all different with a dancefloor on one or a volcano on another. The overall aesthetic is great and when in docked mode looks awesome at 60fps.
On top of the main goal, there is a slew of minigames which will distract you for ages. This game has thrown everything it can to keep you interested and keep playing. Overall, I would say the game lasts around 10 hours. Within this time, you’ll swim, scuba, take photos and even explore mineshafts.

After finding a monument, you’ll have to solve a series of puzzles to get the core. Once you have four cores, then you complete the main mission. But I find these are almost a second thought, as you’ll spend most of the time having fun around the islands. Look and feel of The Touryst is perfect. The game runs at 60fps with no issues and not a single bug or blip on our playthrough.
Overall, The Touryst is a delight to play. It’s crisp and looks great. The bright colours and overall feel of the game will attract lots of players. Finally, please check out our gaming reviews. Also, don’t forget to connect with the Jabba Reviews team on Facebook or Twitter.
