The TaoTronics Air Purifier is very quiet. This is perfect for me, as I use it by my desk. As I do regular Zoom calls, I needed something that wouldn’t disturb the call. In regular mode, I can barely tell it’s on, it’s that quiet. When it’s on night mode, it just appears to be off, but it is running in the background.
I work from home and my set up is in my living room, so when I eat it leaves a smell, even when I open the door. A couple of hours after installing it and letting it run, there was no more food smell in my room and I could tell the air felt cleaner. My wife even verbally confirmed it smelt nicer.
Set up is very easy, you can unscrew the bottom and remove the plastic protection from the filter. Then screw it back in and turn it on. It’s ready to go. Filters are £19.99 and need to be replaced every 3 to 6 months. This isn’t that bad, as you could get away with spending £40 a year on filters.
There are 3 modes for the light, and the possibility to have no light at all during night mode. There’s also 4 strength for the ventilator. This is all done via the touch buttons on the top.
