Soundcore Flare 2 Speaker Review

The Flare 2 sports the cone design that I am a massive fan of. The base is the largest point with it tapering at the top. There is an LED ring on the top and bottom, and a black fabric grill around the middle. The whole look is very pleasing to the eye.

The LED rings will dance to the beat of the music, the light colour can be changed with the app for Android or iOS. The top features the controls under a rubber disk. The outline of the buttons are just visible, but very difficult to read under low light.

The bass boost and pairing button are hidden under a rubber seal along the base. Along with these two buttons is the USB-C port for quick charging the speaker. Pairing is easy peasy, with the speaker becoming visible to my phone. The same process can be done to connect two Flare 2 speakers.

The app is used to control the LEDs and the sound profile. You can also download any firmware updates the speaker may need. Additional settings like sleep timer are set within the advanced settings menu.

The sound produced featured crisp highs and extremely detailed lows. The bass boost added some extra punch to the tracks but didn’t always work with each song. The volume is loud and clear and can fill a room with the music playing.

The fun of pairing the speaker with another Flare 2 meant you could place them around the room for a great sound effect. The lights do try to dance to the beat of the music, but they are a little bit behind.

Soundcore Flare 2 Speaker Review

This is a great size and weight for popping into your backpack when on your way to a party. The shape means it will always be the right way up, and the lights are a definite eye-catcher.

The battery is OK coming in at around 12 hours before needing a charge. The USB-C port means you can fully charge the speaker in a couple of hours.

Overall the Flare 2 is the perfect party accessory. It has the ability to pair to other speakers makes it perfect for adding more volume to tracks. Thanks for reading! Have you got any questions?
