Hailed as one of the most successful Mega Drive games, Sonic The Hedgehog 2 garnered critical acclaim swiftly after its 1992 release. Follow Sonic and Tails (in his debut!) as they team up against Dr Eggman to save the Chaos Emeralds from the clutches of evil. SEGA AGES Sonic The Hedgehog 2 on Nintendo Switch introduced a competitive two-player mode that will be available once more, along with newly added features such as drop dash, rankings, time trial, and Knuckles!

M2 handles the emulation of this classic SEGA game. They took the original game and then added more to it including things from Sonic Mania and the 3DS version. The best addition for me is that Knuckles is now playable. Allowing you to climb and glide around levels. You can now finally complete the game as Knuckles, which is something I’ve always wanted to do.

They also added HD Rumble, though not as in your face as other games, I like how it adds to the overall gameplay. They have also added additional game modes, which I tend to avoid.

Graphics-wise this looks great. I love the addition of screen sizes, scan lines and even play the Japanese version.
Overall, this is a terrific port of a SEGA AGES Sonic The Hedgehog 2 on
Nintendo Switch. Finally, check out our site for other reviews. Also, don’t forget to connect with the Jabba Reviews team on Facebook or Twitter.
