The PowerA Nintendo Switch Joy-Con and Pro Controller Charging Dock allows Switch owners to charger their pro controller and joy cons at the same time through one device.

Inside the box, you get a USB cable, the dock itself and a little USB C dongle. This dongle is the negative part of this review, as you have to insert this dongle into your pro controller. You can leave it in while you’re playing, but it is a little bit annoying. The indicator LEDs that show you charging status of each controller independently.

The Pro controller slides in, with the dongle attached and then shows are charging. You can then slot in your spare Joy Cons and they will charge at the same time. This then allows you to charge the Switch, two joy cons on the switch, a pro controller and a spare set of joy cons through one USB port.
There is some cable management in the base, so you can move it further away if needed. Or you can wrap the cable around the management and tidy it all away. It is also weighted, so it doesn’t topple over too much. Charging speed is OK, and no faster than directly off the Switch.
The other thing to remember is that this is officially licenced by Nintendo. So they have checked this out and given it their ok to PowerA.
Overall, I’m pretty happy with it, it keeps all the controllers tidy and charged. I would have preferred to not have that dongle. Finally, check out our other gaming reviews.
