Perchang on Nintendo Switch is a puzzle action strategy. Also, think of some lovely contraptions to make you ponder and BOOM! You nailed it!
Perchang revolves around getting little balls from the emitter to their home in the goal. Blocking their way are a plethora of obstacles and some helpful elements coloured red or blue. You control the mechanical instruments in the game, by pushing its button. The instruments include magnets, platforms, and fans. They all interact with the ball, by pushing it, lifting it or stopping it. Red instruments are controlled with the left bumpers and blue are controlled with the red bumpers.
I love the look of this game. The 3D elements sit on a white background, with the camera sitting at an angle.
Parts of the game can become very repetitive, such as how certain instruments interact with the balls. I felt things like fans could be expanded upon and get more complicated the further into the game you go. These style of games will also have a major flaw and that’s getting repetitive. With only fifty levels, you could easily shoot through this in one sitting. They are awards for getting the best time on each level, but these don’t unlock anything. I am not going to replay the same level 20 times for a gold badge.
I worry Perchang may get lost in the sea of pick up and play puzzle games littered through the eShop. It’s got a unique look to it, but the repetitive will turn people off. Finally, please check out our gaming reviews. Also, don’t forget to connect with the Jabba Reviews team on Facebook or Twitter.
