Path to Mnemosyne Nintendo Switch Trailer
The entire game is based on you walking down a path. You don’t go back, its always forward. But to make it interesting there are puzzles to solve to move forward. These puzzles do change and can pattern-based or even a sort of maze.
While walking through this path, you collect memories. These are orbs at the end of the section. Once collected, the memory is activated and the backdrop changes. Your path stays the same, but the environment matches that of the memory you collected. Though this is a puzzler, I feel this is more of a story game. The game is exploring the memories of your character, with some puzzles thrown in.

Path of Mnemosyne uses black and white as its primary colour scheme. This gives it an overall spooky atmosphere. Also, they use skeletons, caresses and animals in the background. There is also a feeling that the world is being drawn as you walk, and enhances that feeling of uneasiness. The music matches the atmosphere, with strong scary sounds littered throughout.

The performance was OK. I did have a couple of times when the frame rate would visibility drop as I was playing.
Overall this is a great alternative to the bright, happy games on the Switch. This is a dark moody take on the puzzle game genre. Finally, please check out our gaming reviews. Also, don’t forget to connect with the Jabba Reviews team on Facebook or Twitter.
