The large, cushioned grips of the OXO Good Grips Soft-handled Can Opener make it more comfortable than ever to open tin cans. The extra-large knob is easy to grip and turns smoothly, making a once-onerous task effortless. Also, it has a sharp cutting wheel made from durable stainless steel. It also features a built-in bottle opener.
After years of being disappointed by crappy can openers, I didn’t really expect much from this one. It has pretty much the same locking mechanism as every other can opener out there, most costing half as much as this one. My wife talked me into buying this one and am I ever glad she did!

A can opener seems like a silly thing to get excited about, but this one really is worth getting excited about. You have to try it to believe it. Not only does it open cans better and more consistently than other openers we have owned, but it is also actually easier to use thanks to the oversized turn-knobby-thingie.
It punctures the lid of the can with less effort, is almost ridiculously easy to crank and almost always cleanly severs the lid from the can with little effort and no mess. definitely worth the price; probably doubly so for those with weaker hands or arthritis.
Overall, the OXO Good Grips Soft-handled Can Opener is the best tin opener I have ever used.
