Featuring unlimited item synergies and a unique dungeon evolution system, each run on Neon Abyss on Nintendo Switch diversifies the experience and every choice alters the ruleset. Get ready to unleash hell!

The looks of this game remind me a lot of “Enter the Gungeon”, with a focus on pixel art and explosive animations. The music works really well with the look, giving you a thumping backing track.
Gameplay-wise I felt right at home. All the controls were natural choices, and everything seemed at the right place. You fight enemies in different rooms and have to clear them before moving to the next stage. Don’t forget to pick up everything you find to upgrade your abilities.

Enemies are depicted as gods and demons that represent modern vices such as junk food and pop stars. Though the all-around gameplay may be familiar to everyone, the look and style of the game are very unique. I did find some of the rooms to be a little tight, making it difficult to avoid enemy attacks.

Graphics-wise I didn’t have any issues. I got a smooth frame rate with maybe one exception after an hour of play.
Overall, Neon Abyss on Nintendo Switch is a fun romp. If you are a fan of dungeon style games, check this out. Finally, check out our site for other reviews. Also, don’t forget to connect with the Jabba Reviews team on Facebook or Twitter.
