Transform any location, from your bedroom to your backyard and beyond, into your personal movie theatre thanks to Nebula Astro Portable Projector.
The resolution is 854×480, with a very bright bulb. It features autofocus and automatic keystone correction. These make it the perfect travel entertainment system.
This is great for the bedroom, as instead of having the cuddle round a mobile phone, we can now display a movie on the wall. The 3W speaker means we can hear the projector, but it may need speakers for a bigger room.
It uses Android 7.1 but lacks Chromecast support. Though this is covered by the Nebula app which can be used to cast stuff to the projector. There is a built-in HDMI port, so you can connect your devices to the projector directly, including your phone and games console.
The battery is 3250mAh. This is just enough for a movie and a bit of browsing. I found I prefer to use this in smaller situations rather than large group viewings.
Eye Guard Tech provides added protection for curious kids who take an interest in Astro’s bright DLP bulb. If anyone comes within 60 cm of the front of the bulb, Astro switches off projection automatically, protecting their eyes.
Manage what your child watches via the parental controls. Protect your parent-only movies and apps with a password so your children don’t accidentally stumble upon something they shouldn’t.
If you find yourself in the need for an Android project, I think there are better cheaper options. Though the Nebula Astro Portable Projector is an all-in-one solution with specs that can’t be sniffed at.
