The Microplane Premium Classic Series Zester delivers a perfect result every time with its powerful, signature blade. The famous Microplane Zester Blade Style creates a very fine grating result that looks like angel hair and is ideal for everything that you want to have finely grated.
Wonderful for effortless citrus zesting to add natural taste to a fresh vinaigrette, a lemon crème brûlée or to homemade cookies. The blade also excels in grating even the hardest Parmesan Reggiano as well as other hard cheeses into fine lacy wisps, which are ideal for topping your favourite spaghetti and meatballs or Caesar salad.
This product is an excellent general purpose grater which I use regularly for grating parmesan, lemons, oranges, cinnamon, nutmeg, and garlic.

The pros are it is very durable and seems to maintain it’s sharpness well, due to the length it can grate quite quickly high volumes of, for example parmesan, and it is relatively easy to clean as it is easier to access and wash than a box-style grater, and as it is narrow it is easy to store in a drawer.
The only real cons are that if grating over a tall bowl the end cannot be rested on the worktop so it hovers above the bowl which when grating larger volumes can get a bit messy and drying it is tricky as it is a fine grater towels tend to catch on it but overall it is by far the best made and most general purpose grater I have used and so highly recommend it.
Overall, the Microplane Premium Classic Series Zester is a great addition to your kitchen.
