As you can tell, these are the fourth version of the Mashall on-ear headphones. Two big additions are wireless charging and a new folding mechanism. This folding mechanism is key, as this allows you to rest your headphones neatly on a charging pad. The addition of matte silicone piping on the ear cap ensures it won’t move around. There is a USB-C charging cable included as well, but no wireless charging pad.

The battery life has had a massive boost as well. Giving listeners a humungous 80 hours of battery, with quick-charge capability. I was able to charge these for 15 minutes and managed to get around 17 hours of play.

Marshall Major IV Wireless Headphones Specs:

  • Frequency Response 20 Hz – 20 kHz
  • Driver Sensitivity 99 dB SPL (100mV @ 1kHz)
  • Driver Type Dynamic
  • Driver Impedance 32 Ω
  • Drivers 40 mm

These look great, I can’t think of another way to say it. They stick with the Marshall look that has flowed through each iteration of their headphones. There’s a texture to the faux leather headband, while the earcups are flat and feature a striking Marshall logo. The multi-directional knob offers a splash of gold to the look, and also a retro way to control your music. These are incredibly light, but there haven’t been any sacrifices made to the materials used.

With the multi-directional control knob you can play, pause, skip and adjust the volume of your device, as well as power your headphones on or off. You can also answer and end calls.

The Marshall Major IV Wireless Headphones feature custom-tuned dynamic drivers deliver roaring bass, smooth mids and brilliant treble for a rich, unrivalled sound. I found bass in tracks like Above and Beyond by Bassnectar to be rich and deep, with highs being crystal clear. Sound bleeding can happen, I found these work best in a nice quiet room.

Overall, the Marshall Major IV Wireless Headphones really are a thing of beauty. Marshall has over 55 years of knowledge and this is all packed into these headphones.
