As I open the box, I am blown away by how luxurious it looks and feels. The leather-style padding on the headband and the metal surrounding the earcups all give it that feel. The whole headset can be folded down into the included travel case.
The left earcup provides access to most of the controls and ports including USB-C, 3.5mm, a detachable mic and a power button. You can also rotate the LucidSound logo to adjust the volume. The EQ settings include a “Signature Sound” which is perfect for the lows, highs and even the mids.
The headset is perfect for gaming, but also great for movies or music. A nice addition is that you can play Bluetooth audio while listening to audio from your Xbox game. This means I can play a podcast while I play Xbox. Dolby Atmos users will be happy to hear that this is compatible.
Sounds that I never really heard properly in games pop. I especially noticed this on Jedi Fallen order, where the blaster shots do zoom past my ears. The mic is an absolute killer, with crystal clear audio in both directions. People listening to me couldn’t hear anything in the background.
