The Logitech G502 X PLUS LIGHTSPEED Wireless RGB Gaming Mouse is the latest addition to the legendary G502 lineage. Reinvented with our first-ever LIGHTFORCE hybrid switches, LIGHTSPEED pro-grade wireless, LIGHTSYNC RGB, HERO 25K sensor, and more.

The number of buttons and their location on the G502, as well as its free wheel, are the two things I have missed the most since using the Asus Rog Chakram, hence my desire to change the mouse again to the G502, a mouse with which I feel more comfortable, but I didn’t want to have a mouse with micro USB again so I’ve been waiting for a long time for a renovation and now I have finally been able to get the new model.

As for the design, something that is still subjective, I loved it, the lines of the previous model were too angular and too “gaming”, this time they have managed to maintain the essence without having such an aggressive design, and they have also improved the pattern of the side rubber pads (thumb and little finger), now they are diagonal lines much more beautiful and aesthetic in any configuration. This mouse reminds me of a merger between the G402 and the G502.

I should also mention that the previous models were easily filled with dirt, in this model it seems that it will be easier to keep it clean because it has less depth in its lines and is less pointed.

As for the weight, there is little or no difference compared to the previous model, we went from 114 grams to 106 grams of the G502X PLUS, but where if I notice a difference is in the grip, the new model is much more comfortable, I don’t know if it’s due to the materials used or the shallower and pointed design.

Where if I have noticed the difference in weight with my current mouse, which weighs 121.6 grams and it seems those 15 grams of difference if you notice, before having the chakram I had the G502 Lightspeed and G903 Lightspeed and I knew that the weight was going to notice a little, but it’s not to put my hands to my head either.

I would say that close to 100 grams is my ideal weight for a mouse, the lighter your hands will go away, the heavier it will be too rough, titles like Battlefield or Age of Empires require a good mouse and a lot of precision, it is very important when it comes to shooting or when it comes to micro cleating units respectively.

The new model does not include weights and therefore we cannot increase the weight. There is a lid that weighs 5.4 grams and will also cause our mouse to acquire Qi charge, I will publish photos when I receive the product.

What this new model does include are two types of buttons for the button where we would place our thumb, the first button can be reversed making the press closer or farther from our finger, and the second one cancels the thumb button.

Overall, I think the Logitech G502 X PLUS LIGHTSPEED Wireless RGB Gaming Mouse is a great success as a renewal of the G502. Perhaps I would have included the Qi charging cover, providing this mouse with 3 types of charging, but it seems that Logitech only intends to sell mats with powerplay and a cable running in the middle.
