The Kikkerland iBed Lap Desk arrived ready to go, there is no setup needed. The first thing I noted was that there is not nearly enough filling in the base cushion to make it secure and comfortable on your lap and also some of the base material beads appear fixed and in clumps and stuck in the corners.
The tablet slot is designed to be used in landscape mode. I found that using a tablet in portrait mode made it top-heavy and would fall quite a lot. This is down to the slot not being very deep, so perfect for landscape but I would avoid for portrait use.
The whole thing feels cheap, very light and not that sturdy. I think this would be perfect for a child to use with their tablet. But I can’t see this being used with a tablet and a cup of coffee.
