The HiFiMan TWS600 True Wireless Hi-Fi Earphones features HIFIMAN’S Topology Diaphragm, an essential element in high-end headphones that requires a break-in period before maximum performance is achieved. Please allow 10-20 hours of use before evaluating the sound.

The TWS600 went a different way with their design choice. The case is an oval shape, looking like a silver egg. The oval case isn’t much easier to use, its very difficult to open. The mechanism appears to be very shoddy, and doesn’t look like a lot of thought was put into it. Though there is a USB-C port, which is a blessing.

HIFIMAN TWS600 True Wireless Hi-Fi Earphones Specs:

  • Standby Time: 110 Hours
  • Transmission Width: Up to 150m (depending upon environment)
  • Bluetooth Version: Bluetooth 5.0
  • Frequency Response : 20Hz-20kHz
  • Weight of One Earphone: 5.9g
  • Playtime: 5.5+33 Hours
  • Charging Time (earphones) : 1 Hour
  • Charging time (charging case): 1.5 Hours

The earbuds look metallic but have a very light plastic feel to them. Though the fit in the ear is secure, they are a lot bulkier than most earphones today.

I used these for two weeks, before realising they had controls built-in. This is to do with the small button, which is very hard to press. This then causes the earbud to get further into the ear canal. It’s a long way away from the sleek touch controls of other earphones.

I took a call on these and was blown away by how crisp and clear the audio was. This was on both ends of the call, with my mum saying she heard could hear me just fine. Listening to music is also an experience. Voices and instruments are easy to pick out and sound very clear. Though I did find that the bass was a tad lacking compared to other earphones I have used. Rock and jazz sound rich and vibrant, while hip-hop and RnB sound like they are missing something.

Battery life is pretty standard with a total of 38.5 hours of playtime. This is made up of the 5.5 hours from the earphones and the 55 hours of battery you can get from the case. These are a good choice for travelling, as you are getting almost a day and a half of battery.

Overall, the HiFiMan TWS600 True Wireless Hi-Fi Earphones have the problem of substance over style. While I am all for features and sound, I still want a pair of earphones that are comfortable and look good.
