Ghostbusters: The Video Game Remastered is a third-person shooter, where smaller ghosts are destroyed, while bigger ones need to be fought a little more. The fun is catching the bigger ones, after shooting down its life, you can lasso it with your proton pack. Once lassoed you can smack them against walls, and then finally into the Ghost Trap. This is such fun and involves some planning and practice.
When you are catching and killing ghosts, you have the opportunity to destroy property. This then gives you money to spend on extra weapons and power-ups. You also gain extra weapons as you play through the levels.
This is a walk into a room and kill everything, kinda game. There is some exploration, and you can move objects out the way if needed. Though I can imagine this kind of linear game may be boring, for me it kicks ass. For this kind of game, all I want to do is catch ghosts. It does show its age with clunky movement and bad AI from the rest of the busters.
Ghostbusters is a game built for fans. This could pass as an under £10 ghost-catching game, but put Ghostbusters in front and it’s totally different. It’s also a lot better than the Ghostbusters reboot! Finally, please check out our gaming reviews. Also, don’t forget to connect with the Jabba Reviews team on Facebook or Twitter.
