In the box, you get two brush heads, USB charging stand, instructions and the DG-YS44 Sonic Toothbrush. The toothbrush is IPX7 Waterproof, which is what I like to see if something that will be getting wet. The toothbrush is solid, and the black matte material feels nice in the hand. The front has a silver accent, which also houses the LED display.
Digoo DG-YS44 Sonic Toothbrush Review
I was a little put off by the USB charging dock, as this meant I was unable to charge my toothbrush in the bathroom. I had to plug it in the living room and gave it a full charge. I’d like to see a shaving plug so I could charge it in the bathroom. It takes around 15 hours to fully charge the toothbrush, the battery is meant to last around 45 days.
Once on the DG-YS44 Sonic Toothbrush is rather loud, this is to achieve that 33,000 pulses per min. It may seem quite intense for a sonic toothbrush virgin, but you can get used it.

The 4 cycles mentioned at the top can be selected by pushing down on the power button. It seems to lower the overall speed and intensity of the brush. The brush heads were ok, but I would have liked to see different options to choose from.
The built-in Smartimer encourages 2 minutes of brushing as recommended by dentists. This means that you don’t have to time yourself anymore, the brush will tell you when to stop. During the 2 mins, it will pause every 30 seconds to remind you to switch the brushing area.
Overall, the Digoo DG-YS44 Sonic Toothbrush won’t be replacing my Oral B Genius X, but this is a fantastic travel brush. The USB base means I can charge it wherever I need to, and so travelling would be a perfect use for it. Finally, check out our site for other reviews.
