The CHOETECH USB-C to HDMI Adapter is a super-slim, lightweight and very portable converter that allows up to 4k streaming of your UBS-C device to a HD screen or projector. It is perfect for working in environments like collaborative offices, where you’re bringing your own devices but using communal meeting facilities. There’s no need to install any drivers, as this has native support for Windows OS, MacOS and Google Chrome OS. Unfortunately, there’s no compatibility with tablets or Nintendo Switch.

A nice feature of this adapter is that it is Thunderbolt 3 compatible. Whilst this is a great option for remote office work, you will need to source your own HDMI cable. For the price, I think that’s a better option than having a proprietary cable included as you can choose your own price point or just use a cable you have available.

The adapter gives a very high-quality streaming output, and when connected to a 4kk monitor I noticed no loss of quality in the image. It is backwards compatible for 1080p and 720p, so you can use it with any HD monitor. You have the option of mirror mode, or extended mode, which I’ve found is very versatile for both leisure use and office use.

The adapter is well-made and feels solid. I haven’t noticed any kinking or damage to the cable yet, and I’ve been throwing this in my backpack every day for a while. The material is PVC which stays much cooler than aluminum. This makes it very safe to use for extended periods and has much better heat insulation. In my opinion, this is a must-have adapter for anyone using multiple output devices on a daily basis – CHOETECH provide a one-year warranty and reports online of their customer service are very positive.

For the price, CHOETECH have created a functional, practical, and useful USB C to HDMI Adapter that won’t break the bank. Finally check out our digital home reviews.
