The Asobu is incredibly easy to use. You add coarsely ground coffee and cold filtered water in a circular motion. This ensures all the coffee is covered in water. You then allow it to steep for at least 12 hours. The truth is the longer it brews the deeper and stronger the taste. And then when done simply press the button to drain the coffee into the carafe.
To keep it nice and cold add some ice cubes and if you prefer milk or cream now’s the time to add it. That’s it all done to make your stainless steel lid and cover your carafe and you are all set for a day out.
I tested this with ground coffee from Nero, and the process was easy to follow and I didn’t have an easy. I haven’t had luck with the tea, as I am still trying different combinations.
Overall, the Asobu Coldbrew Portable Cold Brew Coffee Maker is a lovely product that looks great and feels good to handle. I’m still experimenting with different brews, but the making process is easy and fun.
