The Arlo Pro 3 Floodlight Camera is the first 100% wire-free floodlight camera illuminates the most vulnerable parts of your property. A motion-activated light more powerful than a car headlight deters intruders before they even get close to your property. While 2K video captures all the important details for the best possible protection.

The first thing I noticed was that this doesn’t look like any floodlight I have used before. The front is a curved light surrounding the camera. The dimmable lights have a maximum of 3k lumens. In the floodlight, there is a motion sensor, siren, mic and speaker for two-way audio. The whole thing is wifi enabled, meaning this can be used without the hub if needed. But throw in a hub and you can store the videos locally.
Fitting the floodlight is super easy. The enclosure can be attached to the wall, and the floodlight clips in. You can press a button to release it from the enclosure. Charging can be done a couple of ways, you can take the battery out to charge indoors. Or you can buy a cable to provide a constant stream of power.
Arlo Pro 3 Floodlight Camera Review
The Arlo Pro 3 Floodlight Camera captures 2K video, within a 160-degree field of view. There is colour night vision, or you can turn the floodlight on. There is a digital zoom, and tracking if there is movement.
You have to sign up to the Arlo Smart Plan if you wish to view recordings and use any of the wicked cool features. There is a mobile app, which is the same used for the other Arlo products. You can also control the camera, turn it on, record etc. This allows the Floodlight to be set up super easy and can be linked as soon as its charged.
I found the image to be great, in the day its clear and colours are sharp. The night vision isn’t as colourful, but I find I still prefer it to standard black and white night vision. Motion detection works well, the track and zoom look great and can follow someone while zooming in on them.
Overall, the Arlo Pro 3 Floodlight Camera is just fantastic! Sure you have to pay for a subscription, but the quality is amazing. Finally, check out our other Digital Home reviews. Follow us on Twitter or Facebook.
