The Swiss Advance PHORA L Bento Box is made of 100% natural materials. Bamboo is very fast-growing and one of the hardest wood types. Moreover, it is antibacterial by nature. Don’t use it in the microwave and don’t wash it in a dishwasher.

I started putting my work lunches into the PHORA L Bento Box, but it was a learning experience. This is not leakproof, so foods with a sauce or a dressing won’t work. I ended up using it for chicken salad but stored the dressing in a separate sealed container. The lid is great as a travel plate, so excellent to use for a shared meal.

I have had strong-smelling foods in there and was able to hand wash it and not have the smell linger. The box comes with three elastic bands to keep the lid on. I used two for travelling and one I kept as a spare. The Bento Box dried quickly and I was able to stick it back in my bag on the way home.

Though this is made for travelling with food, I have used it in the past as a serving dish as the look is very eye-catching.
