The SteelSeries Arctis 7P Wireless Gaming Headset for PlayStation 5 is designed for PlayStation 5 and also compatible with PlayStation 4, PC, Android, and Nintendo Switch.

Unboxing the Arctis 7P is like unboxing a PS5. It’s got that bright white with streaks of blue and black. You can tell this was designed to be used with the PS5 and it feels just as premium. You get a 3.5mm cable, USB’C wireless dongle, and some adapter cables. The USB-C dongle can be plugged directly into my Swith with no problems, and the headset connects as soon as it’s powered on. This process means that pairing with different devices is a breeze, plug it in and turn the headset on. Don’t have a USB-C plug? Don’t worry, I just used a USB-C to USB-A adapter and it worked a treat. It worked for me on:
- PC
- Playstation 4
- Playstation 5
- Switch
- Switch Lite
- USB-C tablet
- Gaming Laptop
The Discord-certified ClearCast bidirectional microphone is a great addition. It can be retracted back inside the headset, or taken out and manoeuvred into the right position. Noise cancellation is good and doesn’t pick up other people talking in the room. There is also a physical mute button, with a tactile feel. The mic will also shine red when muted, for a visual cue.

This is a very comfortable headset to wear. The elastic band means the headset fits a variety of head shapes. The ear cups cover my ears and the soft pads feel great on the skin. After charging these up, I was able to get around 25 hours of sound before they finally died. This included switching devices and “reconnecting”.

The sound was amazing coming out of these. There were times I thought the sound was coming out of my speakers (Which sit right in front of me), the sound was coming at me that much. The Arctis 7P emphasizes subtle sounds giving you a gaming advantage, and is fully compatible with PlayStation 5’s Tempest 3D AudioTech. I also used these on Zoom calls, and I found them to be perfect. The mic sounded great and they came through crystal clear.
Overall, the SteelSeries Arctis 7P Wireless Headset for PlayStation 5 is the best Playstation 5 headset I have seen. The design and sound are epic and brings gaming to a new level.
