The new AZ950UK builds upon SHARKS previous releases, by improving the performance and adding its Anti Hair Wrap technology. This Anti Hair Wrap is a mix of blades and bristles on the head of the vacuum. This stops any long people or pet hairs from being wrapped up.
The whole thing was very easy to put together, as each component is labelled and clicks into place. This took about 3 mins to put together all in and I was very happy about that. The purple look is very SHARK and feels on-brand for them. The handle has a great rubber grip on it, which is comfortable in the hand. The handle also features the 3 cleaning settings, which light up when selected. A small design feature, but the labels are upside down, so when using it you can read them.
The SHARK DuoClean AZ950UK weighs around 7.5kg. This is a big home cleaner, it’s not a battery-operated stick cleaner. This is drilled home by the long power cord needed to power this baby.
The 3 mode settings are for hard floor, low carpet and thick carpet. The SHARK DuoClean AZ950UK changes modes based on these settings. There is an LED on the side to indicate how the brush head is doing, green is good, red means it needs a clean. Cleaning is easy, as everything clicks out and back in.
There are some added goodies included with the SHARK DuoClean AZ950UK. This includes a tool for upholstrey and a tool for tight places. These are both stored on the back of the cleaner.

The Powered Lift-Away mode allows the handle to be removed, to transform into a handheld cleaner. The hose even has its own set of lights on the end. The main body can also be removed along with the hose, so you can hold the body in one hand and the hose in the other to clean.
The dust and dirt are all collected into the main body which uses Shark’s Anti-Allergen Complete Seal. This seal captures and traps 99.9% of dust and allergens inside the vacuum, not releasing them back into the air you breathe. The whole thing is bagless, so when its full you can flip the cap on the end to empty the contents.
The whole thing is really easy to manoeuvre. Doing my best Mrs Doubtfire impression, I was able to manoeuvre the SHARK all over the flat with ease. I am not a fan of the headlights on the front, I get why they are there, but it feels gimmicky. One thing I was happy to hear, was the whole device is a lot quieter than previous models.
The Shark DuoClean AZ950UK worked great on my laminate flooring and then switched to carpet mode with no problems. It picked up hair and trodden in dirt. I was able to go round my whole flat in around 20 mins.
If you are after an all-in-one cleaner, then the Shark DuoClean AZ950UK is what you need. The Anti Hair tech alone is the reason to get this.
