Novostella 16m Multicolour RGB LED Light Strip Kit comes with TWO 8m strips lights, includes 480 bright LEDs. Long enough to reach around your entire room and light the whole bedroom, kitchen, etc.
The biggest selling point for this LED strip is quite obviously the length, it’s really difficult to find LEDs this long without having to patch several small strips together.
So to get 16M out of two strips is great. I installed this behind my desk and my cupboards. The final product looks great and the LEDs have a good colour spectrum and several different modes. I prefer mine on a slow cycle through the colours, but the 16M kit does mean you can get a bright vibrant effect and layer it on top of the units to give a fuller effect.

The self-adhesive backing isn’t 3M like some others so might struggle on a vertical surface after time but there are some screw clips provided if your surface isn’t suitable for sticking to.
The remote control is an RF (radio) one so doesn’t need line-of-sight as an infra-red one does. This means that the receiver module (the small black Y-shape cable) can be anywhere – behind your furniture, in the roof space, under the floor – anywhere. I found the plug for the strip to be a tad loose, but this is solved with a strip of electric tape.
Using the R/G/B ‘up’ and ‘down’ arrows on the remote, you can set up to six ‘DIY’ preset colours. I was able to achieve a nice warm white doing this as opposed to the cooler white you get if you just press the ‘W’ button.
The lights have been in use every night for a week and no sign of the adhesive loosening. Really bright, brighter than expected and really easy to use.
Overall, the Novostella Multicolour Rope Light Strip Kit is a fantastic additon to any office, bedroom or any room at all!
