The Logitech MX Mechanical Wireless Keyboard features low-profile mechanical switches delivering a next-level typing feel. Ultra-precise and stable switches offer deep and reassuring key travel – in a low-profile form factor. Your fingers glide effortlessly across the matte surface of the keys – and dual-colour keycaps make it easy to orient your fingers and stay in your flow.
When ordering you can choose the mechanical switch type that matches your style and preference of feel. This is outfitted with one of three switches that each have a distinct feel and sound – Tactile Quiet, Clicky and Linear.
The backlit keys magically light up the moment your hands approach and automatically adjust to suit your lighting conditions – resulting in optimal battery consumption.
Both keyboards also introduce a variety of immersive backlighting effects to draw you into your workflow. You can toggle between the effects in Logi Options+14Requires Logi Options+ software, available for Windows and macOS or by simply pressing the Fn key and bulb key at the same time.
Easily pair via Bluetooth Low Energy or the included Logi Bolt USB Receiver. You can pair the MX Mechanical keyboard with up to three devices and switch between them at the push of a button via Bluetooth.
Logitech MX Mechanical Wireless Keyboard Review

It has a dual key layout that is optimized for both Mac and Windows users and is compatible with all major operating systems.
The MX Mechanical keyboard stays powered for up to 15 days on a full charge – or up to 10 months with backlighting turned off. Just one quick 15-minute charge using the included USB-C cable powers a full day of non-stop performance.
This is a very well-made keyboard, smooth and professionally finished, we have two risers to angle the keyboard on the base, these have silicon non-slip feet. The whole structure is built around low-carbon aluminium offering strength and lightweight. The keys are low travel, quiet and very responsive, perfect for typing but not for my gaming hobby, I prefer blue switches and so does my son.
So you can connect this to your PC directly using the USB dongle, this is fast and easy to do, the computer immediately recognised the keyboard. You can use the built-in Bluetooth and connect a further 2 devices without the need of the dongle, switching between computers is done by pressing the Bluetooth selector buttons.

Once connected you may want to download the App, as I tested this on my son’s computer he already had ‘G-Hub’ installed but this is the wrong App, you need the Logi Options one, just head on over to their website and the link is there.
This App allows for customisation of the keyboard, firstly the background lighting effect, I personally don’t see the point in having these effects considering they’re just one colour, no RGB in this keyboard. Talking of lighting, the keyboard does have a smart sensor built in so that when your hands approach the keyboard to type the background lights come on, and they subsequently switch off when the keyboard isn’t used. The brightness of the light can be adjusted manually or you can select the automatic function and the lighting is then adjusted based on the surrounding light.
Also on the app, it allows you to customise the keys based on programmes you have on the computer, a list of your programmes will show and you can completely customise away, very useful.
Many customisable functions can be done directly on the keyboard such as lighting effects.
Battery-wise, this will function on a full battery for 15 days or can be extended to 10 months if the backlight is switched off.
Overall, the Logitech MX Mechanical Wireless Keyboard is lovely to type on and the 3 device connection is fitting with Logitech’s other products, however, I think the lighting feature is a novelty and not needed also the price is rather high, one can buy similar products much cheaper but then again, you’re paying for Logitechs brand and their products do tend to last forever.
