Elegear Cool Pillowcase
The Elegear Cool Pillowcase, on one side is made from 100% cotton fabric and is perfect for winter use, as it’s warm and soft. While the other side is made with Japanese cooling silk fibre, which is smooth and cool, making it perfect for the summer.
As a big guy, I tend to get hot during the summer. This isn’t helped by the polyester duvet and pillowcase I use. I was a bit suspicious of how a pillowcase could be cool on one side and hot on the other, but I wanted to try these out.
They feature a zip on the side to secure your pillow inside. I was worried this would disturb me in the night, but I have yet to notice it. One side of the pillowcase is made from a Japanese silk fibre, which feels cold then you touch it. It’s smooth and you can tell it isn’t going to be absorbing anything. It’s sleek and instantly feels cool when you put your head on it.
The other side is made from cotton, but a different blend that I have used before. It’s very warm to the touch, and also very cuddly. It’s great for when you want to cuddle up under the duvet.
One plus has been, during the hot days, the cat has been using the cool pillowcase to chill out during the day. It’s more comfortable for him then cooling mats.
