The Edifier WH500 Wireless On-Ear Headphones are lovely and well-padded headphones that fit over the ear. They’re very comfortable, aided by the padding both on the earpieces and the underside of the headband.
The L & R signed earcups can swivel 90° and contain 30mm drivers that deliver extremely good bass and clarity. Musically, they’re extremely well balanced – Treble, mids and vocals are clear and distinct, whilst the bass is impactful without being overly dominant. Overall, they deliver an excellent and thoroughly enjoyable music-listening experience. The thick (but comfortable) padding also services to contain the music within your years, ie minimal sound leakage !! Priced at £44.99, I think these represent great value. They handle calls very well too.
Edifier WH500 Wireless On-Ear Headphones Review
Connecting, like with most Bluetooth headphones pairing is straightforward (EDIFIER WH500). All the buttons and ports are on the underside of the back of the right earcup – “-“ play or power or pause and “+”. The other button is “M” which switched between game mode and music mode. (+ and – have dual usage – single press to increase or decrease volume, long press to move forward or back a song), USB C port (red LED indicates charging). Also included is a microphone for hands-free calling. For those that still use wires, this headset has no 3.5mm audio port.
When paired, the battery lasts up to 40 hours. I also like that a 10-minute charge can give 6 hours of playback and post the battery is completely depleted. Battery status is depicted by the LED indicator. Finally, worth mentioning that along with the headphones, you also receive one USB C charging cable and a user guide
Overall, the Edifier WH500 Wireless On-Ear Headphones are an excellent pair of headphones that delivers brilliant sound overall. They’re light and comfortable too. No distortion or cutting out was experienced. I am enjoying these and I am enjoying them far more than I originally thought I would.
