The first thing I noticed about the Edifier W240TN Noise Cancelling Earbuds was how well-packaged these buds were. Everything was thought out and it made for a nice premium feeling presentation on the opening experience. Even the spare tips are in a peel-back container than is resealable.
The case feels lovely and very discreet. Easily slide into any pocket and has a nice snap to the magnets on the lid and bud sockets. The white sliding led pops nicely as well.
I’m not too keen on the plastic button on the buds… To me, it looks and feels a bit cheap and just lets it down in terms of continuity. However, the button works fine and the press is light – meaning it doesn’t hurt my ear as some earbuds have before.

The main reason I was attracted by these buds is I like to listen to podcasts when going to sleep and these seemed to have the specs I’m looking for. I wasn’t disappointed.
The sound is fine for this price range. I think they got a good balance out of the box but there is also an app so you can play around to get the right setting for your personal use. This was good for me as I like to optimise these for talking on podcasts rather than music.
The ANC on these was surprisingly good. It’s not amazing but it works and you notice the difference unlike some I’ve tried.
I tried a call for testing purposes and they performed fine. I’ve also had no problems with the Bluetooth connection.
Battery life is good in the buds themselves and seems to be as advertised. I’d liked to have seen a little more juice in the case even if that was at some sacrifice to the size.
Overall, the Edifier W240TN Noise Cancelling Earbuds are a stable choice of earbuds and even compete with some above its price range in terms of specs. If you catch these at discount it’s a no-brainer.
