Boasting not only seriously good sound but classic retro design, the Edifier MP230 Portable Bluetooth Speaker really is something special. Drawing from the 50’s and 60’s classic design era while incorporating premium sound technology allows you to keep up-to-date with technology while maintaining that timeless charm of the “good ol’ days”.
Inspired by vintage radios from the 1950s and 1960s, a perfect replica of piano key buttons complemented by a legendary palette and boutique mesh. The MP230 boasts a duplex design 2600 mAh high-capacity lithium-polymer battery, able to sustain Bluetooth playback for up to 10 hours per charge.
The stereo acoustic system is composed of two 48 mm full-frequency driver units, coupled with an integrated large-size dual passive radiator; compact yet powerful. The Bluetooth 5.0 delivers faster transmission, lower battery consumption, more effective resistance to interference, simple connection, and free playback.
Aside from Bluetooth input, other supported input sources include AUX, sound card and TF card. The MDF wooden enclosure is thinner than plastic and warmer to the touch than metal, allowing sound to flow tenderly into a beautiful world.
As you can see, it’s very pretty. The Edifier switch lights up when turned on, giving it a cool look. It is switched from one mode to another by pressing a button. As for the latter mode, Bluetooth, which is the one that can give the most problems in this type of product, I have to say that it synchronizes quickly and without failures.
The quality and volume of the sound is what surprised me the most. It sounds louder than I expected and quite clear even while taking the volume to the maximum and trying it out with different musical styles.
Overall, the Edifier MP230 Portable Bluetooth Speaker is a beautiful product that does not neglect quality.
