Sustainable snacking: ChicP encourages the nation to snack mindfully, with the launch of its health-conscious, Veggie Bites
The UK’s number one sustainable hummus brand, ChicP, has built up a reputation for helping Brits snack in a more conscious way, creating dips that are as healthy for the consumer as they are for the environment.
This May, the company will be adding to its range with the launch of the vitamin-rich Veggie Bites – a brand new snack collection. Veggie Bites will be packed with vitamins and plant-based protein, allowing you to snack with confidence, in the healthiest way possible.
ChicP was founded in 2016 by food waste advocate and former chef, Hannah McCollum, who witnessed first-hand the colossal amount of food waste in the catering sector. Feeling driven to do her bit to tackle the crisis, Hannah decided to turn otherwise unwanted ingredients into nutrient-rich dips.
Veggie Bites will perfectly complement the dip range and have just launch in Wholefoods this May. Coming in three distinctive flavours, Sweet Potato & Rosemary, Spinach, Red Pepper & Parsley and Beetroot & Apple, each bite will be sugar, dairy, nut and additive-free, and will be suitable for vegans and low-calorie diets.
Delivered in recyclable packaging to encourage a zero-waste approach, Veggie Bites will also promote gut health, provide a source of plant-based protein, and will utilise seasonal, British ingredients.
Coming in packs of seven (110g/ RRP: £1.95), customers will also be able to order Veggie Bites in 200g and 1kg quantities. Veggie Bites were also designed to be enjoyed in a variety of ways. Ideal for dunking into a dip of your choice, the sustainable snacks can also be added to salads, wraps, sandwiches and hot dishes and are designed to perfectly complement the brand’s award-winning hummus range.
