The Anker Soundcore Life Q35 feature custom silk-diaphragm drivers accurately reproduce music across a wider frequency range and cut out distortion to deliver sound that’s both Hi-Res Audio and Hi-Res Audio Wireless certified.

Straight out of the box, I got a pretty good first impression – nice hard carry case and a beautiful matte finish on the product itself. Also came with a bag of accessories, including a 3.5mm cable if you want to use it with a non-Bluetooth device and an aeroplane adaptor which is a nice touch.
Anker Soundcore Life Q35 Active Noise Cancelling Headphones Review
Comfort was my biggest worry – my old Sonys are pretty tight and feel uncomfortable after an hour or so. These are much nicer. They are less tight and the padding is softer and larger. The cushion at the top prevents them from sliding off my head, even when running. These are the first pair I’ve had that I can wear for hours on end. Given I’ll be using them on long-haul flights that’s a big plus!
Connected to my phone and laptop straight away – no issues there. The buttons are fairly standard – volume, noise-cancelling, power, play pause. There’s a nifty feature for activating the noise-cancelling – tap the right side for about 1s and it turns on noise cancelling. Tap again and it switches to “transparency” mode which pipes in sound from outside so it’s like you’re not wearing headphones at all – a very nice feature if you need to be aware of your surroundings momentarily.
This is where I was blown away. Incredible depth of sound, and just brings a whole new dimension to my music. The last time I remember hearing sound this good was with a pair of Grado SR80s. Calls are good too, especially with the noise-cancelling switch on.
Battery life has been great so far – haven’t charged it at all yet and still reporting a 40% level after a week of moderate use. Will follow up after I’ve done a full charge to zero cycles.
Overall, super impressed by the Anker Soundcore Life Q35. They will be the perfect travel companion but may also become my day-to-day pair because this level of sound quality makes it hard to go back to my Sonys!
