The American Tourister Sunside Spinner collection is an attractively designed range of cases with four wheels, TSA locks, and a choice of colours. We reviewed the medium 68cm model in teal.
First of all, the aesthetic of this suitcase is perfect for a trip to somewhere sunny. It comes in six bright colours, plus a black option for traditionalists. The twisted linear design on the hardshell case gives more interest than a simple blank front. Plus, the colour means it’s easy to spot your case at baggage reclaim.
The 68cm size case gives you 72.5 litres of packing space, which we found ample for a week-long trip. The case is also expandable to 83.5 litres, and this provides that little extra space for all the trinkets you inevitably pick up on holiday. Inside there are cross straps in both halves, plus a zipped pocket and divider with an additional two pockets. We found this useful for storing all the cables and accessories needed for our trip.
Four double wheels give you control over the suitcase with a double tube extendable handle that could be a little more comfortable in hand. It is a classic plastic grip that rubs, especially when the case is at full capacity. The case itself is light, however, at just 3.7kg. A TSA lock gives you peace of mind that your belongings are secure without risking USA security needing to break into your suitcase for inspection air-side.

The 77cm version has a 106-litre capacity, or 118 litres when expanded. The cabin size (55cm, 35 litre) model would be ideal for a short city break and meets many airlines’ size requirements for carry-on luggage.
